What is on, on a page people can actually find

Your schedule is a public page, and so is every session on it. No account is needed to look — only to book. Each one is listed in your site’s own sitemap, so a search engine can index what your group has coming up rather than a locked-down page it cannot read.

It is your name on it, with your logo and colours, and on your own domain on the Thrive plan. Nobody has to join a platform to see what your group is doing this month.

A hall has a capacity, and so does the booking

Cap a meet at the number the room holds and the cap is enforced when the booking is made, not by you counting replies. Once it is full people join the waitlist, and if someone drops out the next in line is emailed an offer with a window to take it.

If your group moves between venues, locations are their own list and the right one shows against each session. Free events run on the same engine on every plan, with an optional contribution at RSVP if you want to ask rather than charge.

Subs, and Grow at $0 if you qualify

Recurring membership billing is on the Grow plan and up — and verified community groups get Grow at $0 a month on the Community package, which includes payments at a 0% platform fee. Community sites carry a small “Booked with Chocka” badge.

What Chocka does not do

Only one person gets a login below Thrive. Multi-staff logins and roles start on the top plan, so if the job is shared between several people who each need their own access, that is the plan you are on. Worth working out before you pick one.

Chocka is not a donation platform — an optional contribution on a free booking is as far as it goes, with no giving page, no regular giving and no receipts. There is also no member app, no email marketing, no discussion or noticeboard features, and no marketplace that will find your group an audience.

Questions people actually ask

Can people see what is on without signing up?
Yes. Your schedule and each session on it are public pages, listed in your own sitemap so search engines can index them. An account is only needed to book a place.
Can we run everything for free?
Free events work on every plan, with the same cap, attendee list and reminder emails as a paid one. As for what Chocka costs you: verified community groups get the Grow plan at $0 a month, and everyone else can start on the free plan and pay 2% only on what they actually charge.
Can more than one of us run it?
On the Thrive plan, which is where multi-staff logins and roles start. Below that it is a single admin login shared between whoever needs it, which is a real limit rather than a nudge toward the bigger plan.
What happens if a meet fills up?
People join the waitlist rather than booking. If a place frees up the person at the top is emailed an offer and has a window to take it, and it passes down the queue if they do not. You can turn waitlists off if you would rather handle it yourself.
