Small groups have a cap. One-to-one has two shapes

A small-group session is capped at the number you can coach, and clients book and pay for it themselves. Payment comes before the place exists, so a session cannot go over its cap however many people are trying to book at once.

One-to-one works one of two ways: publish the time as a session with a capacity of one and let a client book it, or place the booking yourself and settle it from a pack the client already holds. There is no availability calendar for someone to pick any slot out of — you publish times, or you add the booking.

Packs, and what happens when one is unused

A block of ten sessions is a pass: credits, an expiry date and the balance left are part of it rather than something you track separately. If a client cancels inside your notice window the credit returns automatically and the expiry date does not move. Packs are not interchangeable — you choose which ones are accepted for what, so a small-group pack need not buy a one-to-one.

Memberships, for the ones who just keep coming

Recurring billing is on the Grow plan and up, which is also where Chocka’s cut of what you charge goes to 0%. Below that you can start free and pay 2% per booking — the arithmetic is on the pricing page, including where a flat plan starts costing less than the percentage.

What Chocka does not do

Chocka does not coach. There is no programme or workout builder, no exercise library, no video, and nothing that tracks a client’s weights, reps or measurements. It handles who is booked, what they have paid for and what they have left — the training itself lives wherever you already keep it.

No app and no availability calendar — clients cannot browse your open hours and pick a slot; you publish times or place the booking. Arranged bookings need a flat plan. Multi-staff logins start on Thrive, and there is no marketplace sending you clients.

Questions people actually ask

Can clients pick a slot from my availability?
No. Chocka has no availability calendar. You either publish specific times as sessions, which clients book and pay for, or you place the booking yourself and settle it from a pack they hold. Worth being clear about, because it is what most people assume.
Can I sell a block of ten sessions?
Yes — that is a pass, with credits, expiry and the remaining balance built in. A cancellation inside your notice window returns the credit automatically without extending the expiry date, and you control which packs are accepted for which sessions.
Can I bill a monthly membership?
Yes, on the Grow plan and up. That is also where Chocka’s platform fee is 0% — on the free plan it is 2% of what you charge, with no monthly cost.
Does it hold training programmes or track progress?
No. There is no programme builder, exercise library, video or metric tracking. Chocka is the booking and money side of a coaching business, not the coaching side, and it does not pretend otherwise.
